About Us
Government Industrial Training Institute, Mirzapur plays an important role in nation building by providing skills to the youth and making them self-reliant, as well as providing work to the youth of the district in units related to the construction and service sector of the country and abroad.
Training is imparted through skilled trainers in 22 trades including Fitter, Electrician, Motor Mechanic Vehicle,New modern courses TTL trades in the institute. These trainees are given short term on job training in industrial units so that they become suitable to work in industries.
The institute's seven trades Fitter, Electrician, Motor Mechanic Vehicle, Electronics Mechanic , Draftsman Civil, Draftsman Mechanical and Welder are recognized under Dual System of Training in which trainees learn while working in industries for six months. The rest of the period stays in a workshop equipped with modern machines and receives training in the institute.
Training Counseling and Placement Cell (TCPC) has been constituted in the institute which assists the candidates who have received training in counseling as well as in getting employment. It is a state government funded institution under the Department of Vocational Education and Skill Development, Uttar Pradesh. This NCVT affiliated institute is spread over a total of 17 acres. About 1272 trainees are provided training every year in this institute.
